IT Manager (ERP Systems)

Job Description

We are seeking an IT Manager to support, manage, and execute the IT infrastructure for our organization. This role involves providing user support, systems maintenance, and overseeing various projects. This is a hands-on position in a manufacturing business, where you will oversee the site’s IT infrastructure with direction from the IT Director.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the IT Department, consisting of 2 IT Support Specialists.

  • Maintain the ERP/MRP system and support team members with the application(s).

  • Identify departmental process improvements utilizing the ERP system.

  • Train departments on ERP and various system functions as needed.

  • Manage customization projects with direction from the IT Director.

  • Maintain various software/hardware systems that fall under the IT infrastructure, including servers, phones, emails, cameras, and door access controls.

  • Perform daily and monthly reviews of the IT systems following a checklist of activities.

  • Maintain backup systems with quarterly restore tests.

  • Establish and maintain user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges, and security.

  • Deploy new hardware, software, and various IT systems/resources.

  • Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Respond to out-of-band tasks both during regular hours and on-call.

  • Assist in maintaining computerized production floor equipment.

  • Maintain contact with system vendors to achieve maximum operation and utilization.

  • Install, repair, and wire computer equipment and networks as needed.

  • Install, upgrade, and configure workstations, laptops, network printing, directory structures, rights, security, software, and file services.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of five years of hands-on technical support experience.

  • Strong ERP experience; familiarity with ERP in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • General technical knowledge of Microsoft Server, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Products, Office365 administration, TCP/IP, Ethernet, Enterprise Endpoint Protection, scripting, wireless networks, and router management.

  • In-depth knowledge and troubleshooting skills in server and workstation hardware and software systems.

  • Cyber-security best practices knowledge.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company policies, and procedure manuals.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read/write fluently in English.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Epicor ERP Web Interface Application Studio & Reporting development.

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), CompTIA A+, or CompTIA Network+ certification.

  • Familiarity with basic MRP/CRM concepts and/or experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Management of Virtualization platforms such as Nutanix or VMWare.

  • Experience with PHP, MySQL, and MS SQL database configuration/administration.

  • Website hosting and/or WordPress experience.

  • Linux experience.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing environment. You will work a 4/10 schedule with every Friday off. The team is small and tight-knit, offering a small company feel with the backing of a large corporation. The position involves overseeing a team of 2 IT Support Specialists, and it requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 – $110000.00/yr.
